Yes, this is Mass and Cass, also known as the Methadone Mile. This area is where open-air drug markets, methadone clients, rehabilitation programs, and drug treatment services gather around. In this area, addictions and struggles intertwine with stigmas and stereotypes, and grow under the shadow of New England’s busiest trauma hospital. It is ironic and heartbreaking at the same time.
